The Impact Of An Artificial Intelligence (AI) To Me As A Student

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a set of technologies that enable computers to perform a variety of advanced functions, including the ability to see, understand and translate spoken and written language, analyze data, make recommendations, and more. (cloud., 2024) Artificial Intelligence (AI) is transforming education around the world, and as a student, I experience its effects firsthand. AI tools such as chatbots, smart learning platforms, and writing assistants are becoming part of daily academic life. While AI offers many benefits that make learning easier and more personalized, it also comes with challenges that can negatively affect how I learn and think.

On the positive side, AI has greatly improved the way I study. For example, tools like ChatGPT help me understand difficult concepts, write essays, and prepare for exams faster. AI-powered learning platforms can suggest personalized study materials based on my performance, making learning more efficient. These tools save time and make it easier to learn at my own pace, especially when teachers are not available. However, AI also has its negative side. It can make me too dependent on technology, reducing my critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Sometimes, I find myself relying on AI to do the work instead of learning how to do it myself. There’s also the risk of using AI for dishonest purposes, like copying answers or having it write assignments, which affects academic integrity. Additionally, not all students have equal access to AI tools, which can widen the gap between students.

In conclusion, AI has both positive and negative effects on me as a student. It helps improve my learning experience by making studying easier and more personalized. However, it can also reduce my ability to think independently and may encourage laziness or dishonesty if not used properly. The key is to use AI as a tool for learning, not as a replacement for effort or understandings.
