Two Days of Intramurals: Sweat, Cheers, and Team Spirit

Intramurals hit different this year. Two full days of sports, noise, and nonstop cheering.

Day 1: September 12, 2025

This year’s intramurals started with a parade. Each team marched proudly, showing off their colors and banners. After that, we had a cheer and yell competition. Every team performed their chants, some were funny, some were intense, but all were loud and proud. It was a great way to kick off the event.

The lighting of the torch was a blast and so was the opening ceremony. Before the games began, a student athlete who once represented the school in the 2025 Palarong Pambansa led the Oath of Sportsmanship, reminding everyone to play fair, respect each other, and give their best in every match. Officiators also took an oath.

Volleyball matches kicked off afterwards in the quadrangle. Some teams were serious, like they really wanted to win. Others were just vibing, playing for fun and laughs. Win or lose, everyone gave it their all. Even the crowd had their own competition: who could cheer the loudest. I can definitely say that team Lumawig had a really dedicated cheer team.

Day 2: September 13, 2025

By the second day, the energy doubled. Teams were fighting for spots in the finals, and the games got intense. There were unexpected wins, and even a few injuries, especially since combative events occurred on day 2.

Championship games for volleyball girls and boys occured. During the championship, there were a few dramatic moments that had everyone holding their breath and each team’s cheer team went all out, screaming ’til their voices drowned. All this happened during the morning and during the afternoon, it started raining so the intense basketball game at the MPSU ground had to be stopped and for a while we were stranded there due to the rain.

Overall, this year’s intramurals was a great experience. It wasn’t just about winning. It was about enjoying the moment, and bonding with schoolmates. The parade, the cheers, the games, they all made this year’s intramurals unforgettable.
