My Hometown

There’s a distant village, in the village of Bebe. It’s called Bebe because of the small trees that never grew tall, even back when our ancestors were alive. I live in this village. It’s simple, but it’s not boring to visit over and over again because despite being far, it’s worth seeing what you can discover. This is where our water comes from, which they call the Chico River. But that’s not all, they have another hidden treasure because if you explore their river, you’ll find their beautiful waterfalls. Not just that, they also have plenty of potato crops, but eventually, it became chayote because chayote is more popular nowadays. I never get tired of going back to where I came from; instead, I’m even more fascinated because sometimes I miss where I grew up, especially running along the river when I was a kid. I prefer staying in a place I’m used to rather than going to a different place. Because it really feels good to interact with people who know you and be in places that have stories and memories.
