My 2025 Intramurals Experience
Did you have fun this year’s Intramurals? I did, the time alloted for the occasion was short but worthwhile.
As a new student here at Tadian School of Arts and Trades (TSAT), it was an exciting and quite a shocking experience. There were differences I noticed from what they do here to what we do in my previous school. There were no literary and contemporary competition, however, there were track and field, cycling, and combative events. A pageant held to look for the best representatives of the school is already included in the intramurals. Here, it is separate.
The Intramurals started with the sorting and grouping of students into 6 teams, Lam-ang, Banna, Lumawig, Anno, Gatan, and Wigan. The names of the teams were derived from the names of the heroes in the Cordillera Administrative Region, Philippines. Each team consisted of more than 100 students. I ended up being a member of team Banna. I didn’t have any of my closest friends with me, but I am grateful that I got to meet new people. Our team achieved third place in the cheering competition, second place in sepak takraw boys, third place in 9 balls boys billiard, and more.
Throughout the occassion, I observed participation and support in each team. For me, the Intramurals isn’t just about sports, but also about growth, friendship, and learning. It helps us develop sportsmanship, leadership, and cooperation.
