My Hometown

Hi, I’m Ayish Mae Diwayan, and I will talk about my hometown.

Kayan, Pilipl, Cervantes, Ilocos sur. This is where I grow up (well not tottaly growing up there). Since we moved a lot because of my father’s work, we started living at kayan when i was in grade 7. To be honest, living there was good, because I made a lot of memories there with my friends and with my only sister.

Kayan has this beautiful spot where we sometimes go to— when summer hit. That place is so refreshing, the water may be cold but even so we always enjoyed our time playing and having fun there. Sometimes, if bad luck hits us we will for sure meet a snake. Well many of them are saying that there are some snakes living there( not that i don’t believe them). But I think my luck there is so pure that i can’t even meet a single snake, kidding aside.

After a cold and chilling bath at the falls we’d rather go home or go straight to the court(gym) just to play volleyball or badminton, if not we’d be watching people playing basketball. Well, as I said before, I’m an introverted child, going out is too tiring for me unless my sister convince me to go out or I got nothing to do inside of my room. That’s the only time I go out and have some tiring day. Especially when my surroundings are so noisy, my energy is being consumed by how yappy they are.

Moving on, kayan might be a small sitio but its fun staying there. Especially when you go up for a hiking at Pilipil where the so called “Red Soil” can be seen. It is a 2-3 hours hiking, well that depends on the hiker if they decided to take a stop at the village or continue their hiking. But for me, it takes 2 hours before you can see the amazing view of Red Soil, but, not gonna lie, it’s not the Red soil that’s what making me feel at peace there— but rather the meadows and the tree park. The meadow part of the mountain was the good view for me, especially when the wind is so refreshing and strong. While the tree park is a good area for a resting place after walking for how many hours.

Well I guess that’s all I can say. I don’t want to bad mouth the people living at kayan so that’s all for my story, just kidding.

Thank you for reading.

Have a good day.
