Intramurals 2025

Intramurals, a fun event held at every school once in a year. Let me share my experience from the day of our practice until last Saturday.

On the first day, we immediately started planning on who’s going to lead and what sports are we gonna join in. While planning, we also start to get along with each other.

Here comes Monday, we’ve successfully created our cheer. We started practicing the lyrics, singing it multiple times until we all got the right tune. We also planned on what to wear.

Tuesday and Wednesday, it was fun teaching them but stressing at the same time. Some does not listen or follow instructions. That’s where we started to get serious. Raising our voices so that they will follow. We also started showing them the dance steps and silent drills of the cheer at that time.

Thursday, the last day. We practiced, even though we’re tired. Confident enough that we’re going to win. I cannot even speak properly at that time. In the afternoon, we practiced maybe 2 times before cleaning. I also volunteered to do our props because most of the members already went home.

Friday, the day of the program. We are all very energetic and ready. After the parade, we thought the t-shirts that we’ve ordered are gonna make it before our performance. Because of that, we quickly arranged our team (black in the middle, yellow as the boarders). The performance was a success but still, we still felt dissapointed because it didn’t turn out like what we’ve planned.

When they started to announce the champion. We thought we were gonna be in 3rd or 4th. But it turns out, we won. That was unexpected, we were shocked and happy at the same time.

After the program, we said goodluck to each other and went to our events. Our team was very supportive, that’s why i love them even though they made my blood boil sometimes. Because of each other’s support, we won 1st place in volleyball girls, and 3rd place for our volleyball boys. Our other team members also tried their best to participate and win for our team.

Those are just some of the pictures taken from the game. This year’s intramurals has been a lot of fun. It made my whole body ache so much especially my 2 hands, and caused severe sunburn on my shoulders but still, those serve as a memory.

In this event, i have also learned that teamwork helps a lot in order to win. Learning to accept and always be humble is also some of the lessons I’ve learned in this year’s intramurals. That’s all for this year’s intramurals.
