Intramurals 2025 Experience

During our practice for the team yell, things didn’t go smoothly at first, which was normal since the competitive spirit hadn’t fully kicked in yet. But as the days went on, I felt that my team, Anno, truly wanted to do well. For two days, we practiced under the blazing sun, and whenever the heat became unbearable, we often heard teammates exclaim, “Manpalolous!”—which means “it’s too hot.” Through it all, I kept thinking that this hard work would eventually pay off.On the afternoon of the first day of the intramurals, we prepared everything, the props, our outfits, and of course, ourselves. When the day finally arrived, we joined the parade at the assembly area. The sun was as hot as the intramurals fever felt by every team. Upon reaching the school quadrangle, each team gave their best yell while entering the gym. As the program continued, the lighting of the torch and the oath of sportsmanship reminded us of the true essence of intramurals, to practice fairness, teamwork, and camaraderie.Then came the cheering competition. Every team gave their all in performing their yell. Our team earned the fifth runner-up spot and the award for Best in Yell. I was proud of my team, and I believed they would also do well in the upcoming sports events.Later, I played table tennis, it felt great to compete again after months of not playing. I faced skilled players from different teams, and the experience was both challenging and fun.Overall, the intramurals were an unforgettable experience. Cheering for my team and representing Anno filled me with pride. No matter the final results, I know we gave our best, and I am proud to be part of Team Anno.
